Funny how these things work out

Two weeks ago in one of my Friday Frustrations post, I wrote a post about how the company I’m working for is restructuring and there would be a few people losing their jobs. I mentioned how it bothered me, particularly for a single mother who struggles financially.
Today is part one of the wave/restructuring. I got a call yesterday informing me that they looked at their budget and they decided to keep one of the people they were letting go. That one person was the single mom that I mentioned in my earlier post.
Although it won’t make today’s job easier, it does make me happy that she gets to keep her job.

I am glad to hear that the single mother got to keep her job. Times are tough all around. My cousins husband just lost his job and they may relocate up towards me.
It is a very difficult economy now, and I don’t know how anyone that loses their job will find one quickly. Unemployment only goes so far, and those that are struggling before being let go have it the hardest.
nowadays everybody is struggling to keep a job and even find one. with regard to your post i am glad that she was able to stay. her predicament is hard as it is, getting fired is an added burden. so good for her i hope she will stay in your company for a long time.
