The Perfect Gift to Turn my Hair Grey
One way in which Tyler is different from Jeffrey is his constant need to want to put EVERYTHING in his mouth. I constantly have to be near him because he wants to taste everything. Jeffrey didn’t have this Oral fixation. I can only remember 3 instances where Jeffrey put something in his mouth. Tyler can beat that in one day.
Jeffrey got his birthday gift from his Aunt over the week-end. He absolutely loves it. It’s a Ben 10 Quickshot game where the goal is to knock your opponents cards off the table.
The Problem?
The way you knock down your opponents cards is by shooting these little balls at them. When in the heat of play, the balls tend to go flying everywhere. There are about 50 of them.
I have to go treasure hunting every time Jeffrey plays the game with his Dad, finding balls everywhere. I’m afraid one will get missed and end up in Tyler’s hands, then his mouth.
Talk about a stressful game….for me.
Do you have a vacuum with a hose attachment? Put a nylon over the end of the hose and vacuum with it. If it’s a strong enough suction the little balls will get sucked to, but not through the pantyhose. Those little knee high nylon’s ugly as they are work great for this. You don’t have to stretch them over the end of the hose tightly either, a little give, so a little pocket can be formed up in the hose helps. Rubber band the rest of the pantyhose leg up around the hose tubing. You can cut off the leg of a snagged pantyhose too. I imagine the little balls are light weight enough for this procedure helpful.
Oh my gosh, what a nightmare! I hope your little one gets over the need to shove everything in his mouth soon!

I feel your pain. I no longer have kids that small, but it does seem that every game that my kids enjoy playing involves many small pieces that end up everywhere.

I can imagine!!! Logan put everything in his mouth, too. He’s a lot better now that he’s 19 months old but I can’t be overly confident. Last year at this time I thought I was going to go insane because he’d started crawling and kept finding choke-able items. I’m glad to know that’s not the case with all babies, so maybe my baby #2 will be like Jeffrey!
