Obsessive Compulsive or just right?
Sometimes you do things sub-consciously and it takes another pair of eyes to make you notice.
The other day, I was putting the rest of the dishes in the dishwasher and started rearranging most of the dishes that were in there. I don’t consider myself compulsive but there were small dishes in the bottom rack, wine glasses and Tupperware next to the heat element.
Hubby: Why do you always rearrange the dishes I put inside the dishwasher.
Me: I do? I’m just making space for more. (Really, I was thinking that my way gets about 50% more dishes inside).
So, apparently, I’m a little compulsive with the way I like the dishes set up.
I applaud the effort of course.

Nobody besides us knows how to do it properly!
I’d be tickled if someone besides me would try to load the dishwasher. If they can get a dirty dish to the sink they can surely get it to the dishwasher.

My mom was always that way about the dishwasher as I was growing up, so in turn I’ve become that way too. LOL!

I like to load the dishwasher myself. I can get the most items in and they will come out clean. Less loads over all, less aggravation.

Haha!I think it’s just right. You said it, you just think that there can be space for more, right?! haha.
Haha I am the same way. My boyfriend says that to me too. He always asks me why he should load it if I’m just going to come up after him and rearrange it all.

Too funny. My husband is also a little challenged when it comes to fitting things in the dishwasher. I do think that it may be part of a male conspiracy to get out of loading the dishwasher by not doing it “properly.” Not really sure about that, but uncovering a conspiracy theory sounds more exciting than my other explanations.

I used to do that too when we had a dishwasher. Now we have to wash all our dishes by hand and my husband takes care of most of them.
We wash our dishes manually since we don’t have a dishwasher. But I get OC too when arranging the dishes on the dish drainer. When my hubby does it,the smaller plates get hidden at the back, and so on.No choice but to rearrange them.

OC? I am. They say it is a disorder, but I say it is being smart.
My husband notice that in me, too, and often scolded me of being “Mrs. Monk”.
My wife used to do the same thing to me, but now that we live in the Philippines we don’t have a dishwasher machine,we pay my sister-in-law to do all the housework. So that makes one less thing my wife can correct that I do (she always went over my vacuuming efforts, also,God bless her.)
I must admit, that in my family, I’m the one that is OC about arranging the dishes in the dishwasher for maximum efficiency and my wife is the one that is haphazard about how the dishes get added, so I don’t think it is gender related.
We didn’t have a dishwasher when I was growing up, and I always try to make the most efficient use I can of the dishwasher we currently have.
