The Bark is worse than the Bite
Bear with me on the title, it is a metaphor. I just wanted to give an update on my first two days of work. Those who follow my blog are well aware that I had a little anxiety going into work. I really enjoyed my maternity leave and was dreading the end of it.
Once I got into work and started seeing familiar faces, I started feeling a lot better. The day actually past by pretty fast and I was welcomed by everyone I saw. I was exhausted by the end of the day and my feet were killing me. I’m on my feet pretty much 85% of the time and walk a lot. Great exercise though. I have a feeling this will help me get rid of my last 25 pounds of pregnancy weight gain. I did get an employee asking me if I was pregnant again, that was not fun.
The only weird thing is that I was talking to my boss today and he noticed I was wearing glasses while I was on the computer. I commented that my eyesight deteriorated during the last year. He asked me if it was because I was on the computer so much with my blog. “Blog? How did you know I had a Blog?” He mentioned how his boss told him. WTF? How does news travel so fast. Strange thing is that I didn’t tell anyone at work.

Does that mean your co-workers are reading your blog? That’s kinda freaky.

I’m so glad that your first couple of days of work went well! That’s kind of rude that someone asked if you were pregnant again, though!
I can imagine it was a little awkward to hear your boss knew about your blog. The whole reason I decided to go public July of ‘08 was because I kept learning that my “private” blog wasn’t so private! I had just given it out to my family & friends in my e-mail address book, but apparently many of them gave it out to their family and friends and even co-workers! So I was embarrassed at first because as you know I tend to share a lot! But then one day I decided, well if all of these people who I don’t know are checking it regularly then I might as well just go public. :p At first I was worried it would stop me from writing about certain things but I didn’t it want to and so far, so good. Hope you will continue the same as well!

It means they talk about you and they care about what you do.It also means you’re famous, lol! Take care of your eyes,Maria. I damaged mine when I was in college so now I can’t see clearly without a pair of contact lenses on.
