Small Talk Six – For better or for worse
Want to join the weekly meme? Head on over to MomDot. Every week, those participating respond to a different topic. The response is done in 6; either 6 words, 6 paragraphs, photos etc… This Week’s Small Talk Six Topic: Here are 6 things (good or bad) that I credit my mother-in-law for.
1. Hubby’s ability to cook. She was a single mom and was often working to support her 4 kids. Hubby learned how to cook for himself and his brothers.
2. Hubby’s independence, for the same reason as number 1. Except he never learned to do laundry and its one thing he won’t touch.
3. His communication skills. While some of my friends and family members complain that their hubby never communicates what he feels, my hubby definitely has no issues with that. I always know what he’s thinking.
4. My oldest son (4 yrs old) loves going to his grandma’s house because he tends to always expect a gift. I know she’s just trying to make him happy but I’ve tried to tell her its a little too many gifts.
5. I love hubby’s definite respect for women and I know my MIL played a big role in that.
6. I just want to thank her for being a really great Mother in Law who always supported me. I never felt like judged and always felt welcome in your home.
