Despite popular opinions
, I don’t always have something frustrating that happens to me each week. So, in those weeks, like this one, I want to avoid racking my brain thinking up something frustrating.
To change it up during these times, I’ll have a list of things that frustrate me about a particular subject.
For this week, 5 Things People have done that Frustrate me:
1. When people call me to talk but are watching TV at the same time and pause (very frequently) during our conversation. I want to tell them to finish their show and call me back when they are ready to talk. They called me after all.
2. When people sneeze in public without covering their mouths. I can actually see the germs spraying out of their mouths and practically flying towards me, or worse, my kids.
3. After going shopping, it frustrates me to find that someone has parked their shopping cart right behind my car and left it there. Any small gust of wind could send it careening into my car and damage it. Which has happened before.
4. When a complete stranger walks up to my 4 yr old son, picks him up and hugs him because “he is so cute”. If I don’t know you, DON’T touch my kids.
5. When you invite someone over for supper to arrive at 6p.m and plan accordingly, but the person doesn’t show up until after 7 p.m.

I can totally relate with number 1, 2, and 5. With number 1, it’s not just watching TV’s but when they talk to whoever is beside them and actually have conversation like:
Me: “blah blah blah…”
Example: “yes. blah blah blah…. no.. okay…” and then suddenly “hey! stop eating that. where did you get that? someone told me you should blah blah blah” and finally after a few minutes “hello? are you there? so where were we? blah blah..”
I hate that.
And number 2, sometimes I even see people spitting on the streets. It’s gross. Enough said.
Number 5, I have no patience for latecomers especially when you both agreed to this time and they arrive no less than an hour later.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!! The phone thing is my biggest frustration. My mom calls me but then talks to her dog and anyone else around her. It’s like “HELLO?? I’m on the phone with you here!” Totally frustrating!
Totally agree with ALL of your frustrations. I guess I am with the majority here because it drives me insane when you try to have a phone conversation with someone and can’t even get their attention! One of my sistersdoes this and always has. She continues to interact with everyone in the house AND answer her other phone (cell vs. house)and have an entire conversation! Grrrr.

can totally agree with all of the 5 that you offered. I believe it has to do with others respecting out time, our personal being and just simply us.
Played along but could not get linky to work http://shopannies.blogspot.com/2009/10/friday-frustration.html

Oh, these all drive me nuts too. Especially when people approach my daughter. It creeps me out a little.

The arriving late for dinner really bugs me. It’s such a big deal to time everything correctly even when people are on time, when they’re late I feel like telling them “too bad, kitchen’s closed.” Of course I never have the guts to really do that, but as I get older and less patient, who knows.

All of those are totally worth being frustrated about. Who picks up someone’s child like that? I’ve never seen that happen but it would freak me out!
Hi Maria, thank you for reading my blog post last weekend, it was nice reading your take on everything.
I loved this post of yours. I think these should be rules that everyone should just follow in life! I cringed at the sneezing one. And I can’t believe people just go up to your son and pick him up. That hasn’t happened yet to me – I can’t imagine what I’d do – yikes!

Urgh, these things would definitely frustrate me too. I can’t believe someone would pick your kid though. That is nuts. I would freak out if some stranger did that to one of mine.
