6a00e55455c9358833010535d725bb970c Best of the Mommy Bloggers CarnivalThank you to A Modern Mother for giving me the chance to host this week’s, “Best of the Mommy Bloggers” Carnival.  I had a lot of fun participating.  I even felt like the editor of a newspaper.  ;-)

One of the reasons I started blogging was to network with other Bloggers who had the same or even different interests as me so I can expand “my horizon”.  Joining the Best of the Mommy Bloggers Carnival allowed me to visit and meet great bloggers.

How it works:

  • Every two weeks a different mommy blogger “hosts” the carnival.
  • The blogger community submits their best post from the past month.  It must be something written in the past four weeks.
  • The host blogger, that’s me, then compiles the carnival.
  • All of the submitters help publicize in some way — Twitter, Facebook, a blog post, a link.  It’s definitely a great way to meet new bloggers and find new sites that you might not have known about.

Curious about this week’s entry?  Wait no longer.

1.  Since it is me hosting, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to add my post first.  I chose the post about the first time I realized that my son acts different when I’m not there.  I know….a little naive.  I prefer to call it denial.

2.  October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.  Sandy over at Baby Baby writes a beautiful post about her best friend who battled breast cancer and their adventures at the Breast Cancer Care Fashion Show.

3.  Who doesn’t love to receive awards?  It’s a great tribute and acknowledgment to your hard work.  Claire at Snug Baby describes how she felt when she won, “Best Online Business” at the Mumpreneur conference.  A big Congrats to Claire.

4.  Sometimes we go through things in life that are extremely hard or that remind us of a hard time we went through.  During those times, we just need a good cry.  Andrea, from The Accidental BussinessMum takes us through such a day in, “In the words of Ronan Keating“.

5.  We all know about the benefits of exercise for your health.  But did you ever think of exercise as a benefit to help improve your s*e*x life?  Well F.P.E over at I Complete Me, discusses the benefits of exercise on your s*e*x life as part of her “Sexavation Series“.

6.  I had so much fun reading Muddling Along Mummy‘s post on Modern Proverbs.  She hilariously depicts a man’s ability (or inability) to tread silently.  It’s a fun read.

7.  Kids have a very active imagination, especially in their dreams.  But what happens when their imagination is so strong, that it becomes your nightmare too?  Laura over at Are We Nearly There Yet Mummy? answers this question in, “The case of the mysterious CroakWatcher“.

8.  Have you ever joined a group because you couldn’t say no?  Well, head on over to Angels & Urchins and you’ll read about a Mother who reluctantly became a PTA rep and is now sharing her journey in a new Thursday column, “Diary of a Desperate PTA Rep“.
