randomtuesday Random Tuesday Thoughts A Mix of topics

I have a love hate relationship with the Internet.  I think that sometimes it decides to torture me so I know how much I need him.  The internet was out ALL day yesterday.  You are such a fickle love.  Why do I refer to the Internet in the male form?  Just because of the extreme opposite emotions it is able to invoke.  It is capable of giving me such happiness, just as easily as it can give me such frustration.  Reminds me of the male species.  LOL.  Luckily, I already had an appointment with the technician at night to change my modem.  I had upgraded to the premium “super high speed” package hoping it would allow me to surf a lot faster.  I guess my expectations were way too high because I did not notice a difference.  Also, I noticed that my connection gave me even more problems than before, so I downgraded back to regular high speed saving the extra dollars.

On a positive note, my Internet service provider, Videotron, gave me really excellent service.  They scheduled an appointment withing a 3 hour time frame.  I’ve had to wait all day with other companies in the past.  Also, I received a phone call about 5 minutes before they showed to inform me that they were on their way.  Great job.

Hubby started his new job yesterday.  Of all the days to start, his first day just happened to be their Inventory.  So instead of training, he got to do their inventory.  For all those who have done inventory at a store, you know how mind numbing it can be.  Also, because he stayed till the end, his first day ended up being a 13 hour shift.  What a first day.  On the bright side, he liked the person who will be training him for the first two weeks so that’s a huge plus.

I was going through the trouble to style my hair after taking a shower until I realized that  I had a hairdresser’s appointment this morning.  I still went through the trouble of getting my hair perfect.  Go figure, it’s just going to get washed and cut in about an hour.

In case you missed the Men’s Semi-Finals between Federer and Djokovic, see the video below.  Watch at least the first 40 seconds where he takes the most incredible shot backwards and under his legs.  It happens within the first 20 seconds but the replay really highlights it best.  The rest of the video is the remainder of the match and his interview afterwards.
