GRAB THE BUTTON CODE on the the sidebar

Welcome to Friday Frustrations, a weekly blog carnival dedicated to getting things off our chests. If you would like to participate, grab the button and enter your Friday Frustrations link on Mr. Linky. You can write about several frustrations or just one. It’s up to you.

You don’t need to pick the same topic as I do.

I was turning on the laptop to write my Friday Frustrations.  I had the topic all picked out and was about to start typing when my husband gave me another topic to write about.

Honey, I love you but you are the topic of this week’s Friday Frustrations.  It’s in good fun, I think.

My hubby is a great guy, husband and Father.  But (yes, a but) there are times he can frustrate me a little.  You know how the saying goes, “those you love the most are the one’s who frustrate you the most”.

We were getting ready to go out for supper.  I got Jeffrey ready first, then I fed Tyler and got him ready.  Once both my boys were dressed, I started getting dressed myself.  My husband who was dressed for a while, since he only had to worry about himself, sat down and started watching T.V while waiting.  Once I was ready, I approached my husband and asked him if he was ready to go.  His answer, “I was ready a long time ago.  I’ve been waiting for you.”

Why did this Frustrate me?  It might have been that I was tired, or  that we were running late.  What I didn’t understand was if he was ready before me, why didn’t he help me with the kids.  His answer when I asked him?  I didn’t know you needed help.

I got over that and didn’t give it a second thought.  We went out for supper and had a great time.

Now fast forward back to me opening the computer to write my post.  I’m starting up my computer, when he asks me, “Can you brush Jeffrey’s teeth before he goes to bed?  I just want to relax.”  He says this as he’s passing the bathroom door.

(My inner thought) “Yes, and I don’t like to relax at all.  I’m not busy right now.”

My reaction?  A stare.  I just stared for a few seconds.  Hubby got up and started towards the bathroom to brush Jeffrey’s teeth.  His reply, “Sorry, I know your tired too and busy right now”.

Thank you DH for paying attention.
