Mamapedia – A one stop resource for Moms

When I found out that I was pregnant with my first son, one thing immediately happened, I had tons of questions. Now with my second son, nothing has really changed. There is always something different happening that puts questions in my mind.
There are a lot of resources out there that can help one find the answer but one site that recently launched in May of this year is like a mother’s box of answers. I spent a few hours searching this site and there was not one question that I couldn’t find an answer to.
Mamapedia is meant for mothers with kids of all ages. If you have a question you can post it online and have it answered by other moms. Chances are you’ll always find someone who’s been through the same thing as you. It’s updated daily and is 100% free. What I like about it is that the experiences shared are shared by real Moms who understand every stage of parenting.
There is a library worth of categories from House & Home, Toys & Gear, Finances and Health and more. You can even browse by age or search through the All About Me section.
Here is a short excerpt from their press release:
San Francisco, CA May 15, 2009 — Today, MamasourceTM (www.mamasource.com), the online community for mothers to connect with other moms in their area, announces the launch of its new site, MamapediaTM (www.mamapedia.com.) This breakthrough website is a one-stop-shop where moms can get answers on an array of parenting topics from the ultimate experts – Moms.
Mamapedia gives moms everywhere the power to ask any question and get ‘the real scoop’ from millions of other mothers. From common parenting problems such as potty training and sibling rivalry to personal mom issues like weight loss and breastfeeding, Mamapedia offers wisdom and advice without judgment.
The site also tracks live top searches (what’s hot on the minds of moms right now?) and makes it easy for any mom to find the answers she’s looking for – no registration required.
I particularly like their cooking section since I need a lot of help with creativity when it comes to cooking. There is not only an eating out section, but an eating in section as well.
There is definitely enough information to keep a parent busy researching for a long time.

I have never heard of this before – it sounds like my kind of thing – thanks for the heads up!
Also thank you for the comment about my dogs. I did take them to the vet last week and all “appears” fine so I really hope it was a one-time thing! I do think you’re right that it’s jealousy, so I’ve started taking them for walks again and think that might be helping.

I’ve heard of this but haven’t been there yet!
Thanks for sharing this. I’ll definitely head over there to check it out. I usually go to Mothering and BabyCenter for questions.
