This Week’s Small Talk Six Topic:  6 of my favorite patriotic films.

There are a lot of great patriotic films that were created.  I chose the ones that touched my heart either throughout the movie or one particular scene.

Here is my list:

1. Independence Day – I just love the speech in this part of the movie.

2.  The Patriot – Truly an inspiring and sad movie.  I cried many times.  If you haven’t seen it, I recommend you do. This clip is a montage of the movie with James Blunt’s, “No Bravery” playing. Clips belong to Columbia Tristar.

3.  Braveheart – Mel Gibson does a great job paying tribute to the character of the film William Wallace.

4.  Gandhi - What one man did for his country ended up inspiring the world.

5. Pearl Habor -  This movie had a love story and displayed human bravery at the same time.

6.  We Were Soldiers - I did not purposely look for Mel Gibson flicks but I realized a lot of the patriotic movies had him in it.  He plays that role well.  I love this speech.
