Welcome to Friday Frustrations, a weekly blog carnival dedicated to getting things off our chests. If you would like to participate, grab the button and enter your Friday Frustrations link on Mr. Linky. You can write about several frustrations or just one. It’s up to you.
You don’t need to pick the same topic as I do.
I am in the process of doing laundry which is the reason for my current frustration.
Very Simple Rule: Empty your pockets before putting it in the laundry basket. If not, then the person who is doing the laundry will spend 10 minutes or so cleaning the tissue paper that is now shredded and thrown all about the washing machine tub. This is not a fun process. Oh, and money in the pockets at the same time is not cool.
They should invent a sensor in the washing machine that detects when the pockets are not empty, thus avoiding this problem. I would pay extra for that.
Frustration #2: What is it with bed sheets? I am capable of doing a lot of things. I manage over 130 employees but when it comes to folding fitted bed sheets, I feel like I’m trying to glue wings on a fly. I can never get it to look like anything but a crumpled up paper bag.

I have a long-standing laundry rule that if any money is found in the dryer it is MINE! All mine!
Happy FF & Mine’s posted too!
i usually forget to check my husband’s pants during laundry time. when it’s time to hang the clothes, there goes the hankies. that leaves me handwashing them. grrrr.
wait until they get older — then they’ll forget money in their pockets and since you are the one doing the laundry, you get to keep it. call it a house chore bonus (there are so few in life)!
ooops, it’s Friday frustrations day.
Still, I’ve given you an award! You can stop by my blog to claim it!

ha, laundry sucks.
I know what you mean about the tissue in the pockets! my hubby forgets to empty his pockets too, and I don’t check them because I assume they are empty! I would pay extra for a sensor too!
Bed sheets are really hard to fold! Speaking of folding, I have like a mountain of clothes I need to fold!
Happy Weekend Maria!

My new Friday Frustration is trying to figure out how this Mr Linky thing works! If someone could please give me Mr Linky For Dummies-type instructions it would be greatly appreciated… LOL
Thanks!

Well I managed to get my post done and your button on it. I thought I had to add the Mr Linky gadget to it somehow but I guess not.
As far as money in the laundry goes…. if I find it there it’s mine! But my husband is pretty good about emptying his pockets. Now if I can just get him to turn his clothes right side out… especially the stinky socks!

i liked your idea of sensors for washing machines! hahaha..i hope they have that because the tissue thing happens to me a lot of times.
and i haven’t learned my lesson
Ohhhh I hate doing laundry, especially when my son leaves his lunch snacks in his pockets (cookies, carrot sticks of all things, crumpled juices boxes) ewwwwwwww! Boys are gross.

I would pay extra for that sensor too! I’ve washed two phones because I’m not a pocket checker. People should check their own pockets when they take their clothes off. hmmmmph
My mom showed me a couple of times how to fold a fitted sheet and it was in and out of my memory storage within 3 minutes.
Hubby and the boys are out of the habbit of leaving “things” in their pockets, if they can only turn their socks and unbotton the shirts!!

I like the idea of a sensor for the washing machine.
I’m not good at making beds either. I’m thankful for the household help who does a great job at it each day.
I can completely relate! My husband never empties his pockets so I always have to check before putting his pants in the washing machine – but sometimes I must not stick my hand all of the way in or something because the same thing has happened to me – so frustrating! I, also, have given up on the idea of folding bed sheets nicely!!!
Hope your week has started off well! Thanks for the comment on my post last week with Logan’s comparison photos to my husband and me!
