Spymaster – Soon to overtake Twitter Tweets
I got a Tweet from Ane from Life According to Me asking me to join her SpyMaster ring. What? I didn’t know what she was talking about but I clicked on the link provided.

Spymaster is a free role playing online game. It’s a new social game that is tied in with Twitter. To start off, you have to choose which secret agency you want to belong to; CIA, MI6 or the Russian Secret Service. You do spy like things such as buying things on the black market to defend yourself or to attack. You can also assassinate other players and put money in your Swiss bank account. As a reward, you get fake money and points to increase your level. The strength of your ring depends on the number of followers you have. Followers that join Spymaster become a spymaster in your ring and the other followers just become spies.
Out of curiousity, I joined and now I must admit I’m a little hooked. I’m competitive in nature so when people started attacking me, I wanted to gain more experience to attack back. An assassination if successful, allows you to steal inventory and money from your opponent. I’ve only attempted an assassination once, which I failed. To be fair, it was against someone who attacked me 3 times within 45 minutes.
If you’ve been on Twitter lately and have noticed Tweets such as, “assassinated so and so”, “I just reached level 3,” “I just bought a pistol” or “I just deposited money in my Swiss Account”, it’s not a tweet from a crazy person, it is an update from Spymaster. You’ll probably see a lot more of these tweets as the game becomes more popular.
If your curiousity is peeked and you’d like to join, you need to be invited to do so, or you’ll be placed in just any Spy network.
If you’d like to join my Network, first follow me on Twitter if you haven’t already done so, then let me know in the comments so that I can send out an invitation.

I’d have loved to join, but my Twitter account’s suspended

thanks for your instructions
I was wondering what spy master was. Thanks for explaining. Sounds fun! Stopping by from Harriet’s Comment Challenge.
Now this sounds like a lot of fun. I am going to pass because of self preservation. If I join this, I will have even less time to accomplish my work

It has been a while that I did not engage myself in any online game… maybe I should give myself some fun.
This definitely sounds interesting – but I am having a hard time just keeping up with the June Challenge and social networking …. but it does sound fun!
overthetopaprons’s last blog post..Another Question – Have you benefited from doing Blog contests, give-a-way, product reviews?
Twitter is certainly rising up a gaming-triva with their users. I’ve even came across a typing game, where you type the random tweets shown and get scored.

I got the same tweet from her and assumed she was spammed and hijacked. I love her.
This game sounds interesting. I have Twitter but I don’t regularly check it. My twitter (rachcorner) updates are synchronized with my Plurk updates.
