48 Days to a Better Me – Day 7
So it’s been 7 days since I’ve started my 48 day challenge.
I am embarrassed to say that although I had all the best intentions, I haven’t accomplished much of what I had committed to accomplish.
I am hoping that this Huge Step Back will be the motivation I need to Propel me Forward.
I realize that it’s not just enough to commit to goals and have wishes. It’s about doing more than just wanting, and taking the necessary actions to get going. The way to any success is the first step, so I just have to get my two feet moving.
Here is what I think I need to propel me in the right direction. Instead of having a bunch of goals that I will accomplish in 48 days, I will break it down per week. This way, I can have quicker celebrations that will hopefully give me the encouragement I need to keep going.
It’s like someone who wants to lose 25 pounds. They cannot focus on the whole 25 pounds which could get discouraging but break it down in pounds per week.
O.K let me try again…..How Embarrassing!
My Goals for week two
1) Start an exercise routine and workout with it at least 3 times
2) Watch a hockey game with my husband
3) Perform a random act of kindness to a stranger
O.K, I was going to keep typing but baby steps…..baby steps….
Here are some other Bloggers who accepted the challenge:
Kelly at Mom’s Talk Network - If you remember from my original post, she is the one who started the challenge
Tricia at TriciaGardner.com took a different approach and gave herself a goal of 16 weeks
MomSoapBox talks about her goals as well
So, Off I go AGAIN

I have come to realize that the stops and starts are part of the success so don’t beat yourself up for going backward once in awhile as long as you keep pushing forward.
Good luck!
