For a little fun I decided to add this one in.  I think a lot of us have a little voyeurism in us and love to hear what’s going on in the lives of those Hollywood Stars.  It seems that the more gossip rotates around a celebrity, the more market value that celebrity has.

7.  Megan Fox – Although she did not have any huge films in 2008, her looks kept her high on the search engine.

6.  Paris Hilton – Don’t know why but people still clearly care what goes on in Paris’ personal and professional life

5. Angelina Jolie – All her humanitarian efforts + married to a hunk of a man Brad Pitt + giving birth to Brad’s twins + her gorgeous looks = top 5 searched celebrity in Yahoo

4.   Lindsay Lohan – Her relationship to Samantha Ronson sparked a lot of interest.

3.    Jessica Alba – Though her marriage and wedding created a lot of curiousity, she is a constant top in the search engines.

2.  Miley Cyrus – She had a very busy year with her photo scandal, her relationship with a 20 year old underwear model and her hit movie.

1.  Brittany Spears – No surprise there.  People followed her road to recovery more than they followed their own lives.  She was not only the top searched celebrity in Yahoo, but the top search overall ( 4 years in a row ).  We can understand what’s important to the Yahoo searchers.
